Get a Food Bank Referral

You can ask Citizens Advice to refer you to a food bank. They'll usually make an appointment for you to discuss your situation with an adviser first.

If you can't go to Citizens Advice, you can ask for a referral from another organisation - for example your GP, housing association or social worker.

Trussell Trust support a nationwide network of food banks and provide emergency food and support to people.

 

OLIO

OLIO connects neighbours with each other and with local businesses so surplus food can be shared, not thrown away.

This could be food nearing its sell-by date in local stores, spare home-grown vegetables, bread from your baker, or the groceries in your fridge when you go away. 

OLIO can also be used for non-food household items, too.
